Simar Bajaj

Bio

Simar Bajaj is an award-winning science journalist, who focuses on obesity, lung cancer, and other stigmatized diseases; a recent graduate of Harvard University; and a Marshall Scholar studying epidemiology at the University of Oxford. He has previously written for The Washington Post, TIME Magazine, The Guardian, NPR, The Atlantic, and more, as well as The New England Journal of Medicine, British Medical Journal, Nature Medicine, and The Lancet. He won Science Story of the Year from the Foreign Press Association in 2022 and the top-prize award for Excellence in Science Communications from the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine in 2023.
